If your journey involves crossing an ocean, it might be a good idea to plan your arrival a day or two in advance. This will give you the chance to unwind and acclimate to the local time zone. Should you arrive early, please let us know and we'll gladly assist you with your travel arrangement.
Make It Your Own: Arrive Early or Stay On - Why rush the magic?
Many of our guests choose to arrive a little earlier or stay a little longer to truly soak in the beauty of the region. Whether it’s wandering through local vineyards, taking a solo hike in the hills, curling up in a cosy café with a journal, or booking that massage you never make time for — this is your invitation to linger.
Add a day (or a few) for some self-guided exploration, slow travel, or a bit of quiet soul-searching. It’s the perfect way to ease in, wind down, or let the retreat experience really sink in — without the pressure of rushing back to the real world.
We’re happy to offer recommendations for where to stay, what to see, and how to make the most of your time in the area.

There’s something truly special about travelling with a small group of like-minded people. Whether you’re coming solo, with a friend, or as part of a pair, the connections formed on a Nourish Travel retreat tend to feel effortless — and often, unforgettable.
From the very first welcome drink, stories are shared, laughter bubbles up, and what starts as a group of strangers quickly becomes a circle of new friends. By the end of the week, it’s not uncommon to see guests planning their next adventure together.
This sense of connection — authentic, organic, and often a little bit magical — is what sets Nourish Travel apart. It’s about more than just the destination. It’s the people you meet, the conversations you didn’t know you needed, and the shared experience of stepping away from the day-to-day to reconnect with what truly matters.

Our retreat guests come from all walks of life — diverse in background, profession, nationality, and life stage — and all united by a shared curiosity and openness to meaningful experiences. While most are comfortable with English, the beauty lies in the variety of perspectives around the table.
We don’t define by age or stage. Our guests have ranged from 22 to 88, with many in the 40–65 sweet spot, though we’ve seen magic spark between 25-year-olds and 75-year-olds more times than we can count. It’s honestly one of the most heartwarming parts of every retreat.
Whether you’re a solo traveller, coming with a partner or friend, or simply craving connection with interesting, open-hearted humans — you’ll find yourself welcomed and seen. Nourish Travel is about creating a space where connections flourish, ideas flow, and people leave feeling more grounded, inspired, and connected — to themselves and to each other.
-
Group sizes vary depending on the retreat — some are intentionally intimate, with as few as 10 guests for a more personal, immersive experience. Others bring together up to 50 guests for a vibrant, high-energy gathering full of shared moments and spirited connection.
Each retreat is thoughtfully designed with a specific group size in mind to suit the location, format, and flow of the experience. Whether you’re joining solo, coming with a friend or partner, or showing up with your whole crew, you’ll be welcomed into a group of curious, open-hearted humans who are all there for something a little deeper.
From fireside chats to long-table dinners, it’s the people who make the magic — no matter the number.

About 50% of our travelers are traveling alone. They’re single or widowed, married with husbands or wives who can’t or don’t want to travel, or just want a new experience. The balance are mothers & daughters, sisters, and close friends who travel together.
-
Our trips are designed and priced for single occupancy, but if you're traveling with a friend or family member and want to share, you can save money. We won't pair you with strangers, and we never charge an extra fee for solo travelers.
-
As long as we know ahead of time, we can accommodate almost any dietary or physical restriction.

For international retreats, comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory — this includes coverage for medical emergencies, evacuations, cancellations, and 24/7 support. Your regular health insurance may not apply overseas, and we want you to be fully protected in case the unexpected happens.
For domestic retreats within your home country, travel insurance is highly recommended but not required. While not mandatory, it can offer peace of mind by covering things like cancellations, delays, or unexpected medical issues.
Your well-being is always our top priority — and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way, no matter where in the world we are.
-
Some countries might ask for vaccinations or health tests before you enter. We want to make sure your journey is smooth, so we kindly ask all our travelers to follow the entry rules of each country we visit. We believe that health decisions are personal, whether it's about vaccinations for Covid-19 or other contagious conditions. However, not meeting a country's entry requirements might prevent you from joining the trip. It's important to note that this situation wouldn't qualify for a refund under travel restrictions.
For the latest recommendations and guidance, you can check out the CDC website. To stay on the safe side, the CDC suggests getting any needed vaccinations at least a month before you travel.
-
For international travel, don’t forget your Passport. Please be sure you have enough empty pages without stamps in your passport and that it is good for a full 6 months after the date you return from your trip.

No worries at all — Nourish Travel Retreats are for every level of experience, including complete beginners. Many of our guests are new to yoga or meditation, and often discover a new (or renewed) love for the practice during the retreat.
One of the benefits of our small group sizes is that classes can be personalised to meet you where you're at. Whether you’ve been practicing for years or you’re just curious to give it a try, our teachers offer a range of styles and levels throughout the week, so you can choose what feels right for you.
And most importantly — nothing is compulsory. This is your retreat, your pace, your vibe. Think of it as a choose-your-own-adventure: sleep in, skip a session, journal by the fire, wander through the gardens, or say yes to everything. The beauty is in the freedom to do what you need, when you need it.

At Nourish Travel, we're excited to be part of the global movement for Authentic Responsible Travel. We believe that the manner in which you travel and the choices you make throughout your journey are just as significant as your destination.
Our Travel Principles:
Authentic Approach: Our trips revolve around engaging with local people and cultures. By understanding their histories, food, language, customs, values, and priorities, we honor their unique perspective. Despite our differences, our shared human experiences create a strong connection.
Responsible Travel: When we travel, we're entering someone else's home. To ensure a positive impact, we work to minimize harm to the environment and the cultures we explore, while maximizing the benefits for local communities.
Our commitment to Authentic Responsible Travel is evident in every aspect of our trips:
Timing Matters: We aim to choose off-season or shoulder-season for our retreats to avoid contributing to overcrowding.
Respectful Impact: We prioritise minimising environmental harm and treating all living beings, including humans, animals, and plants, with deep respect.
Immersive Cultural Experience: We go beyond sightseeing, immersing ourselves in local customs, languages, history, food, and drinks. We consider ourselves guests rather than mere tourists.
Open Hearts and Minds: We embrace new experiences and remain open to the ever-changing world around us.
Climate Conscious: When flying, we calculate and offset our carbon emissions by contributing to Earth-saving initiatives.
Embracing Discovery: Travel is a journey of discovery. We welcome new places, people, foods, and ways of life.
Gratitude and Privilege: We're grateful for the opportunity to travel, recognizing it as a unique privilege.
Join us in our mission to travel the world responsibly and authentically!
