The Retreat
There is a version of Africa that lives in your imagination: golden grass, elephants at the waterhole, the sky going pink over the Chobe River. This retreat is that version, made real, without asking you to rough it.
For six nights, sixteen guests will trade daily life for the savannah: game drives through one of Africa's most storied national parks, sunset cruises along the Chobe River, and quiet mornings with yoga and breathwork overlooking open plains. Days are wild. Evenings are unhurried. Every detail from the ensuite glamping tents to the locally sourced meals has been considered so that the only thing you have to do is arrive.
The Experience
Wild by Day, Restored by Night
A week suspended between two worlds: the wild pulse of safari and the stillness of restoration. Mornings begin with optional yoga and breathwork overlooking the plains, followed by game drives through Chobe National Park and sunset cruises along the Chobe River.
Elephants crossing quietly in front of your vehicle. Lions resting in the long grass. Sunsets over the river. Firelit dinners beneath a sky full of stars. The kind of moments that stay with you long after you return home.
And the best part? You don’t plan a thing.
Every flight connection, transfer, meal and game drive is taken care of, so you can simply arrive, exhale and experience Botswana and wild Africa in a way that feels intimate, effortless and completely looked after.
This isn’t a wellness retreat with a little safari added on. It’s an African safari experience, beautifully balanced with movement, breathwork, connection and rest.
Wild on the outside. Held every step of the way.

Africa is not a place you rush. For those wanting to arrive a little earlier or linger a little longer, we've curated three optional ways to extend your time in the wild.
Before the retreat, spend three nights in the ancient granite hills of the Matopos, or three nights in Victoria Falls, home to Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders." After the retreat, continue on a mobile safari into Savuti, Khwai and the Okavango Delta.
Each option has been designed to flow seamlessly with your retreat. Ask us for the Pre & Post Retreat guide for full details.
Where You'll Stay
Munga Plains: Your Private Safari Sanctuary
Munga Plains is a private safari retreat in Northern Botswana, set just outside the iconic Chobe National Park in one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife regions. Surrounded by open savannah and the rhythms of the bush, it offers an intimate base for experiencing the beauty and wildlife of a Botswana safari without sacrificing comfort.
Every detail at Munga Plains has been thoughtfully designed to bring you closer to the wild while giving you the space and ease to completely exhale. Stay in private ensuite glamping tents, handcrafted by local artisans using locally sourced materials, each with its own veranda overlooking the savannah, mosquito netting and a fan.
Beyond your tent, a swimming pool and dedicated yoga deck invite slow mornings, restorative afternoons and moments of stillness between safari adventures.
This is luxury glamping in Botswana, reimagined: close enough to hear the African bush come alive at night, comfortable enough to slip between real linens and sleep deeply beneath the stars.
Meet Your Hosts: Cally Albrecht & Mandi Gunsberger
MEET CALLY
A lifetime of wellness. A world of adventure.
Yoga and meditation teacher Cally Albrecht has led retreats around the world since 2018. In Botswana, she’ll guide optional yoga, meditation and breathwork to help you slow down and soak it all in. First-timers and seasoned yogis are equally welcome, everything is an invitation, never an expectation.
MEET MANDI
A love of travel. A knack for bringing people together.
Mandi Gunsberger, founder of Nourish Travel, knows the magic of Botswana firsthand. As your host, she’ll look after the details and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Think thoughtful touches, good company and stories shared over sundowners.
What Past Guests Say
“On arrival, the view is magical and really sets the tone for the whole retreat. I was treated with a warm hug like a friend. Nourish is the perfect word for Mandi’s retreats in all respects: mind, body and soul. Amazing people, food, drinks, place and care. Even as an incurable introvert, I found the experience left me with an unexpectedly lasting calm and clarity. And the best part is you return home not just rejuvenated, but with a broader friendship circle. 10/10 would recommend.”
Why Botswana?
Because It Still Feels Wild
Botswana remains one of Africa's most untouched and wildlife rich countries, offering an extraordinary safari without the crowds. This is where nature still leads: elephants at the riverbank come dawn, giraffes tracing the horizon, hippos surfacing as the sun drops. Africa has a way of reminding you what matters. Botswana still knows how to do that.
